Kill The DJ – Busung Lapar di Lumbung Padi

Another simple video clip about the anti-corruption from me. The song was created in March 2010, shooting the clip in early August 2010, the plan fits in the anti-corruption day we launch this clip, but it turns out I was too busy at Merapi disaster, then Hiphopdiningrat, Yogyakarta Special, and all preparatory tour. On his return from Australia and in the midst of preparation for the tour to New York, I took this clip finish paying off debt. Thanks to Chandra Hutagaol, Isfansyah, X-Code film, Friends Cicak, ICW, and KPK. Hopefully this simple clip useful. Enjoy. (Kill The DJ)

JHF: Java spells in New York

Jogja Hip Hop Foundation
Finally the dream was realized as well. The process is very complicated, not easy to bring Jogja Hip HopFoundation (JHF) to New York.

First, many technical problems that JHF exclusive performances in New York has to be backed up three times since December 2010, then in January 2011, and finally implemented in May 2011.

ABOUT JOGJA HIP HOP FOUNDATION

Founded by Marzuki Mohammad aka Kill the DJ in 2003, Jogja Hip‐hop Foundation (JHF) projects itself to accommodate Yogyakarta based hip‐hop crews that mostly use traditional Javanese language. Even though the name might sound formal, JHF operates in a more communal way rather than in the form of formal institutions. We support our activities from the sales of audio CD’s and merchandises. After the Poetry Battle project, several sponsors came along to support our projects.
After few small projects, we started the Indonesian poetries project in 2006. We then produce the Poetry Battle 1 album in 2007 and Poetry Battle 2 in 2008. Both consists of poetries and ancient literatures; starting from literatures from the 18th century, to contemporary poetries. The goal of Poetry Battle project is to promote love and pluralism through its theme; “love” and “respect to the others”.
JHF’s highlight consists of three crews who consistently rap in Javanese language. Those groups also combine Javanese traditional groove with urban music beat. They are Jahanam, Rotra and Kill the DJ; a bunch of Javanese rude boys standing still in the cross-culture.
JHF just launched a documentary movie titled Hiphopdiningrat; The tales of Javanese Hip-hop.
